What is a RAV?

At Maples Ford, we are proud to be one of the select few dealers in the nation participating in the Ford Motor Company Manufacturer Buyback Program, also known as the Lemon Law/Repurchase (RAV) Program.

If you're considering one of these vehicles, here’s what you need to know:

Q: Aren’t all buyback vehicles defective?

A: Not necessarily.

While these vehicles have been repurchased by Ford, it doesn’t always mean they had serious mechanical issues. In many cases, the buyback occurs for reasons such as:

-- Minor concerns that couldn’t be resolved quickly due to unavailable parts

-- Ford going above and beyond to keep a loyal customer happy

-- Issues that required special attention from Ford engineers—not a local repair shop

-- State Lemon Law loopholes being used by customers who simply wanted out of a vehicle

Regardless of the reason, these vehicles are fully repaired and inspected by Ford, as required by law. On top of that, they go through a thorough inspection by our certified technicians here at Maples Ford. We stand by the quality of these vehicles—our reputation in the Warsaw community means too much for us to offer anything we wouldn’t drive ourselves.

Q: What if the issue isn’t really fixed? I don’t want someone else’s problem.

A: We hear you—and we agree.

Ford stands behind these vehicles. If the original factory warranty is still active, it remains in place. If that warranty has expired, Ford adds a 12-month/12,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty to protect your investment.

You can rest easy knowing you’re covered by Ford—and by us. At Maples Ford, we’re committed to making sure your experience with a Ford RAV vehicle is every bit as positive as any other vehicle we sell.>/p>

Q: Will it hurt the resale value? What if the title says Lemon Law Buyback?

A: That’s a great question—and one we take seriously.

First, this is not a salvage, flood, or major-damage vehicle. It’s a pre-owned Ford that’s been repaired, inspected, and road-ready—just like any other vehicle we sell.

When it comes time to trade in or sell, we won’t penalize you for owning a RAV. We believe in transparency, and if we’ve done our job right, you’ll come back to us when you’re ready for your next ride. Some dealers may try to use a RAV status to undervalue your trade—but not us. That’s not how we do business here in Warsaw.
