2021 Ford EcoSport in Warsaw, MO
As Ford's smallest crossover, the 2021 EcoSport stands above others in its class with its expansive cargo space and easy-to-use infotainment system. Due to its small size and responsive steering, the EcoSport is one of the easiest vehicles to maneuver through narrow streets and around tight turns. Use this guide to learn why you should consider this subcompact SUV for your next vehicle.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2021 Ford EcoSport comes in four trims: S, SE, Titanium, and SES. For the 2021 model year, Ford tweaked the EcoSport's exterior styling slightly. It comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, but the new SE Appearance package includes 17-inch alloy wheels. A power moonroof comes standard at the SE level.
Engine (Power)
To get you where you need to go, the EcoSport has two available engine options. The base 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine produces 123 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque, and works well enough for commuting around town, but if you're looking for a little more power consider upgrading. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine gets 166 horsepower and 149 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are mated with a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive comes standard on the smaller engine, but all-wheel drive is available on the larger one.
Performance
When it comes to fuel economy, the 2021 EcoSport attains decent numbers. With the base engine, the SUV gets an EPA-estimated 27 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. If your SUV has a four-cylinder engine under its hood, expect the vehicle to get 23 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. Also, when properly equipped with all-wheel drive, the EcoSport can tow a maximum of 2,000 pounds.
Interior
With room for five people, the 2021 Ford EcoSport has comfortable seats along with soft-touch surfaces found on its dash and center consoles. If you're looking for a vehicle that has an expansive cargo area, the EcoSport has one of the largest in its class. It has 20.9 cubic feet of space behind the back row, and the space expands to 50 cubic feet once you fold down the 60/40-split-folding rear seats. To help you get items in and out of that area, the SUV comes with a cargo door that opens to the side.
To keep everyone connected during long rides, the EcoSport comes standard with the SYNC infotainment system mounted to a 4.2-inch display along with a Wi-Fi hot spot, and two USB ports. You might want to consider upgrading to the larger eight-inch touch-screen display, which is available in every trim except the base one. Use the responsive touch screen or nearby physical controls to operate climate and audio settings. Other available upgrades include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, satellite and HD radio, and navigation.

Safety Features
Although the EcoSport only comes standard with a rearview camera and Ford's MyKey system, which lets you set audio and speed limits for secondary drivers, it comes with several available safety upgrades. Some of these features include blind-spot monitoring, rain-sensing windshield wipers, rear parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alert.
